Confessions for Showing 1 - 10 of 3597
My husband picked up some last minute side work today for the extra ($$$) money, and that's fine and dandy but I can't say it's not disappointing that we had to cancel our bike riding trip at Venice Beach. On such a beautiful Southern California day too. Oh well, there's all summer.
Anyone else read the story about the man making minimum wage with 30 kids by 11 different women? I don't feel sorry for any of these stupid women for opening their legs with a serial deadbeat. The court ordered that the tax payers have to cover CS for these people's mistakes because he doesn't make enough money. Pisses me off to no end.
We over spent for years. Now we have downsized and live more simply and are saving money. But I kick myself for those years I spent 'Living La Vida Stupid' as me and DH say. I had to have designer this and that and new cars..for what? Ten years later no one remembers and no one cares and now we have to make up for lost time.
At one point in my life I wanted to be CF. We had an amazing life in San Francisco. Then we decided to have just one. Still had money, some freedom, etc... well, then we decided our only needed a sibling. Well, we now have three wonderfully amazing children. I love this life as much as I loved my CF days.
The puke & poop situation at my house is out of control. Multiplied by the fact it happened in bunk beds. I will admit though, when DH bought a super high end shower head, with a detachable head in the middle for the kid's bathroom I thought he was wasting money. Now I think he's a genius after three middle of the night showers...
I would love to adopt kids. We looked into it and it's so expensive! We can't afford it. We're a good family, both have jobs that require police checks (teacher and sports coach), have never had a run in with the law (or even a parking ticket) and have stable jobs and house. It will still take years and tens of thousands of dollars for us to adopt. Easier to do it the old-fashioned way and spend the money on the child's upbringing, but I still wish I could help one of those parentless babies out there :( No foster kids in my country. Sigh.
I know a little girl who LOVES music. She has been so interested in it since she was a year old. She is very 'advanced' musicly now that she is nearly 5. Her parents do NOT like her interest. I mentioned Fresh Beat Band coming to our area. "Oh. I don't want to waist the money what if she ist't interested by Dec." Poor kid. I really hope they don't squash her love, but they will try their hardest :(
I don't let my kids spend their birthday money on any ole junk that will get tossed in the corner. They have the option of saving it in the piggy bank or using it for useful things. This year DD picked out a towel, goggles, and swimsuit for summer. With the leftover she bought an ice cream.
