My son is an only child. no one should marry him? he's a sweety!

I don't expect it, but it would be nice if my parents offered to help out with something for the wedding. I am their only child. It could even be that my mom offers to make the cake because she used to do cake decorating. I asked her and she hedged. Damn, it's my wedding day!

So, you won't come to the adoption hearing-9am, because you have a dr appointment at 11...and, you're 'keyed up' about the appointment? The hearing takes 10 minutes-max & it's just minutes away from the dr's office. (You also knew the date before you made the dr appointment.) What a lame excuse. Once again, you could care less about your 1st son & now his only child. I hate you people with the hot passion of a thousand burning suns.

I eloped. More b/c of family politics than anything else. I have 1 DD and she will be an only child. She is two. My confession? I already started up a savings account for her wedding and it would kill me inside if she eloped. I am the bigger person b/c I would tell her if she is happy, I am happy.

DH and I were married @ JOP, but we are having a ceremony and reception for our third anniversary (he is an only child and he and MIL really wanted to do it up.). The only real parent I had was my grandmother, and she past away nearly ten years ago. So I am planning to wear a ring she gave me (her brother that died in WW2 gave it to her) on my right hand, and I am putting a big bright yellow rose (her favorite) in the middle of my otherwise purple boquet. That way, I will always feel like my grandma walked me down the aisle.
