Q:TO MODS: why do some boards get updated and others don't? I've been watching the single board get updated about twice and the mom board hasn't.
A: If anything it’s the other way around with the Mom’s board getting updated more often. I can update the mom’s board on my phone, so sometimes it gets updated 15-20 minutes before the other pages. If I’m grabbing lunch out, or doing an art project with my daughter on the other end of the house and I notice it’s close to an update time, I’ll do the mom’s board, finish whatever I’m doing, and as soon as I get to the computer finish the other boards. This way everything gets done on time since the mom’s board typically has the most confessions.
If I’m ON the computer I finish with the mom’s board. So another thing that may have happened is that after updating all the channels I responded to a user email, or added an article I’ll do another round after that just so everything is caught up, and the mom’s channel might not have had anything new since when they were the last updated. Singles is pretty close to the start of my update, so maybe it just had a few new ones in the time it took me to update all the other boards and do whatever else I was doing on the site.
On the day you asked about this, I updated the mom’s and the other channels at 8, 11, and 1. I updated every channel but mom’s at 3:30, and because I was running late to an appointment, updated the mom’s channel at 4 when I arrived. Everything else was updated a bit early, but the update was finished on time.

A: Thanks for the heads up, but in this case it’s actually more of a topical post. The confessor doesn’t reference the other confession. She just makes a comment about the same thing.

Q:Mods why is it so horrible to confess about another board member but you let a comment go through outing a gay person?! And not even a real celeb. Shameful.
A: It’s never been against the rules to talk about people who AREN’T on this site. Otherwise every post about husbands, children, politicians, and in laws wouldn’t get through. There is no difference between that post and “My father in law is gay, he hasn’t told anyone.” If google considers the person a celebrity, no matter how minor, names are allowed. If not, first and last names aren’t allowed through.
It has always been against the rules to attack users on this site. If you were in any other business, and one customer started yelling at and insulting your other customers, you’d kick the one yelling out. Same thing.
Q:Mods: (sorry I was cut off by quick fingers!) can there please be a limit to how many times a user can post a day? Thank you for your hard work.
A: You’re welcome. But no, we can’t put a limit. If the posts are similar enough, I won’t let more than one through though.
Q:MODS: Regarding the moderator response (truu659061), I'm a little confused. I thought this was a truly anonymous site where posters' IP addresses were not tracked. So does this mean that when I anonymously confess something extremely personal and sensitive, the website could find out my location somehow? Or does this only apply to people who have made an account here?
A: As I said in my announcement. It’s not easy to do, and no one actively working for the site can actually do it. Our tech guy can if I email him, and put in a work order based on the confession number. I promise you, truu is never going to disclose your location to anyone.
Q:To mods: have you looked into why Safari won't access truu? It just says "bad request" every time I try?
A: It works on my computer. Try deleting your cookies and restarting the computer.
Q:To mods: Do you mean attacking a specific user or any confession venting about people in our life? Just want to make sure I'm clear...
A: Venting about people in your life is fine. Attacking a user OF this website in a confession is not fine.
Q: Mods: it seems that the desire fore truu dad confessions to come back. why hasn't it?
A: I don’t make that decision. Your feedback has been forwarded to Romi though.
Q:MODS: How did confessions 658547 make it through? I thought confessions weren't allowed to be insulting or derogatory towards one group of people....the entire confession is rude and insulting towards one group of people.
A: Politicians are people? It’s like how celebrity bashing is allowed. People who put themselves in the spotlight TO be talked about, get talked about. If I start seeing tons of confessions about it, we’ll move it to the blog.
Q: Mods: can we please stop with all the money confessions. You know, the rich are evil, etc.

Q:mods, so sick of the obese "i'm obese but i'm still healthy" posts, and the rich complaining about how they shouldn't have to care about others less fortunate. why do you keep allowing these through? these two topics have been going through for days and have been beaten to death.

Q:MODS why didn't my post about wanting a divorce but being too scared for financial reasons go through? This is the second totally innocent post that hasn't gone through in like a week.
